The courses listed below must be completed with a grade of C or higher PRIOR to enrollment in the MSAT Program. Each University calls these courses different names. We have included the UA course that would fulfill this requirement. You can go to the UA Transfer Equivalency Table HERE to determine the course at your University that would meet this requirement. If your University or the specific course is not listed, please contact Melinda Lake (mrlake@ua.edu) with questions.

Any student with the necessary prerequisites and experiences will be considered for acceptance. Selecting an undergraduate major that will include the prerequisite courses and content that will complement your masters degree in Athletic Training will be valuable in your professional preparation. Majors at UA that you may want to consider are: Public Health, Human Environmental Science, Food and Nutrition, Human Development, or Kinesiology. In addition, the Athletic Training Minor would be a valuable addition to your major selection. You can discuss these options with our academic advisor, Melinda Lake.
Selection into the UA AT Professional Program is competitive, and satisfaction of the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Notice of acceptance will be on a rolling or periodic schedule. Students are encouraged to apply to the program early with the first round of application review beginning November 1. If selected by the UA AT Program Selection Committee for acceptance, students that are currently enrolled in prerequisite courses or that have not graduated with their bachelor's degree at the time of acceptance will be conditionally accepted. Final and official transcripts and requirements must be received within 90 calendar days from matriculation. If these final and official transcripts, documents, and/or requirements are not received by that time, the student will not be allowed to continue in the MSAT Program.
